Welcome to Breathing Blog! It's so great to have you here. I'm nervous, but also very excited to write my first blog. Thank you for visiting. Thinking back, it have been almost three months to put the ideas and materials together. The process was quite an experience - research, study and....self-observation. I noticed myself wanting to give up every time when I faced the challenges - from choosing colors to writing pages. There were lots of doubts and negativity about myself and my dream. What brings me back to focus on my wanting and keep moving forward?
The question that people asked most when they came to Pilate session: "Do you think I can change this?" ("This" refers to a misaligned posture or habitual movement pattern that causes physical inflexibility, pain or injury). Without hesitation and doubt, I always answer right away, "Absolutely!", then explain "It does need time, but with your willingness and persistence. Everything is possible!" Our body is a reflection of one's emotional and spiritual status. Over years of teaching, I started to get in touch with people's lives and witness the change in people's bodies because of the change in people's minds. They believe the change; they feel the change (through exercises/physical activities), they make the change (bring awareness to mind and body to choose a supportive movement pattern). I am always touched and get inspired by clients' change- both physically and spiritually- to bring them to a better place than they have ever imagined. Their bodies had been in a state of being vulnerable and fragile: knee surgery, herniated disc, back pain, scoliosis etc. Through patience, persistence, awareness and exercises, they get stronger, healthier and happier with the understanding of mind/body connection. We all deserve to live in a healthy body that we want to have and a free mind that we want to be. I hope this website will reach more people and let them know about my offer and the importance of mind/body connection. It is a way of living that brings more possibilities to different areas of our lives. It is my belief that we all want to feel good, have joy and ease. We eat food everyday to give our bodies nourishment and nutrition to stay strong and active. Have you ever thought of 'eating' mind food everyday as well? Awareness and positive thinking is a daily 'mind food'. I hope Breathing blog will bring you more 'mind food' and motivation to strengthen your 'mind muscles'. Do you have thoughts of the 'mind muscles"? Please feel free to share. It would great to have your voices on the Breathing Blog!! Also, if you think this website/blog will benefit your friends and family, please send them the link. I would greatly appreciate it. Have a warm and cozy holidays! Joy and peace, Mandy :)
